During the Second World War from September 1939 until the formal end in September 1945, The Glasgow Academy lost many former students and staff as part of the allies
THE WAR MEMORIAL TRUST
The Glasgow Academy became governed by the War Memorial Trust following the First World War.

In 2021, The Glasgow Academy celebrated the centenary of the War Memorial Trust. This short video called "Brothers in Arms" produced by the archive commemorated some of the brothers who were lost during The Great War.
